Sir, The four parliamentarians currently before the criminal courts declare a great liking for the provisions of the Bill of Rights of 1689 and assert that their cases should be considered by parliamentary authorities (report, Mar 12). Should their wish be granted and they be judged guilty, can we assume that they would accept 1689 punishments with equal enthusiasm?
