Bills in the House

We should be asking parliamentary candidates which pieces of legislation they will repeal

Sir, Your leading article (“Waiting for Gordo”, Mar 10) informs readers that there are 26 Bills currently going through Parliament, including the Grocery Market Ombudsman Bill. This news is bound to excite the electorate.

As a general election approaches should we be asking parliamentary candidates which pieces of existing legislation their party will repeal rather than which new legislation they will add to our already lengthy lists of “do’s” and “don’ts”?
